I have enjoyed tremendous success as an educator and athletic coach bringing a state champion title home
with one of our prior students. As Topock celebrates its 20th year of operation I am extremely pleased to
serve as your principal, entering my 11th year in Topock School administration and 17th year as a staff
member.
We live in an Era of high stakes testing. The state of Arizona requires that your child pass all portions of the
AIMS test in order to graduate from high school. This is a goal we should accomplish now! It is in your child’s
best interest to take learning seriously with the goal of graduation in mind. Being academically prepared and
passing all portions of the AIMS test while they attend Topock Elementary School is excellent training to
ensure future success.
A large part of student success is achieved by excellent attendance. Research shows absenteeism
contributes to student failure. However, consistent attendance directly increases student achievement in the
classroom. Your efforts to ensure your child is at school will benefit your child’s academic career
significantly. Additionally, school funding is directly related to your child’s attendance. Therefore, the more
your child attends school, the more funds become available, thus enabling us to provide more books,
materials, and equipment for our students.

I have assembled a truly dynamic staff of educators and support staff who share a common passion for
teaching and love of children. Each and every teacher here at Topock is committed to the success of each
and every student. We adhere to the Kids at Hope philosophy: “All Kids are Capable of Success, NO
EXCEPTIONS!”
As the principal of Topock Elementary School , I would like to let you know that my door is always open.
Please come by whenever possible. I am always willing to listen to your concerns and to address any
issues of importance to you, your children, or the school. As the lead Kids at Hope Treasure Hunter I also
welcome you to come and celebrate your child’s gifts and talents. Most of all, I want you to know that your
child’s well being, safety and education are of the utmost concern of mine. Please know that I and the
